Have you ever felt trapped by the relentless grip of perfectionism? If so, you’re not alone and today we’re going to be exploring how you can nurture self-compassion to break free from the pressures of perfectionism.

We’ll be unpacking the concepts of perfectionism and self-compassion, exploring the dangers of tying self-worth to perfectionism, and discussing how you can practice more self-compassion in your life going forward. I’ll also be sharing some of the science behind self-compassion and why when we treat ourselves kindly, the body responds positively.

I’ll also be providing you with practical strategies you can use to start nurturing more self-compassion today, helping you feel empowered to challenge your inner critic and cultivate a kinder relationship with yourself today.

If you’re a person with perfectionist tendencies, the perfectionist cycle is likely to play out when you’re facing adversity - be it grief, a setback in life, a chronic illness or another challenge - and by embracing self-compassion you can relinquish the grip of this perfectionism, helping you to move forward in your journey.
