I need to create a network accessible file share for my local pc and two Amazon workspaces to access. I found instructions online, and even a video, but they didn't cover everything. So here I go though creating an S3 bucket, setting up and EC2 instance, creating the file gateway, setting up the file share, and then connecting to it with a drive letter on Windows using NFS. With AWS (Amazon Web Services) this is all possible, and not even too hard to do; it just took a while to figure out how a few things tie together and what relies on what.
