This is our first episode of the semester In honor of black history month, we will be discussing gentrification, particularly in fountain square, causes, impact of urban planning, exploring both sides of the coin i.e. against and for gentrification arguments, and efforts for communities affected by it. ----------IUPUI Resource--------------------- The Through their Eyes Memorial Scholarship is in honor of the displaced families of the thriving Black community that occupied the land that is now IUPUI. Founded in 1969, IUPUI stands on the historic homelands of Native peoples and a vibrant Black community.
