Today we are talking with Dr Christopher Jain Miller, Professor of Jainism and Yoga Studies at Layola Marymount University, Los Angeles, US.
In this episode we explore the concept and some common definitions of yoga, and look at yoga as a wider practice extending far and beyond asana or physical postures. Dr Miller explains the background of Pantajali Yoga Sutras one of the most commonly referenced and used yoga texts and talks us through eight limbs of yoga as described in sutras. Inevitably, we discuss the concept of authenticity in yoga and how it is used and applied in contemporary world.
We cover and teach above content in extensive detail in our HotHaus Yoga 200h Teacher Training that is officially accredited by Yoga Alliance. Spring 2022 enrolment is now open via our teaching platform www.hothauseducation.com.
