It is all about WHO you know, not WHAT you know.

I am sure we have all heard that saying in one way or another. Whether it is from guidance counselors, teachers or family members, everyone understands the importance of having industry connections and social capital to finding meaningful opportunities in life.

With most jobs and promotions not being widely advertised, networking is a key component in finding a job and moving up in your career.

While networking is an extremely important skill in the new world of work, it can feel a bit uncomfortable to do. Some people find it unnatural, manipulative or exploitative but there are genuine and authentic ways you can network that feels good and supports growing your career at the same time.

In this episode, we explore some tips and tricks with how to network in a way that feels simultaneously genuine and effective.
