On July 29th 1998, an anonymous man faxed into the show Coast-to-Coast, claiming to be a time traveler on a mission from the year 2036. He was going back to the year 1975 to retrieve an IBM 5100 computer, for the task of possibly saving the world from impending doom. This would be the first of many interactions with the time traveler, setting into motion one of the strangest internet mysteries of all time. This is the story of John Titor, the Time Traveler.
