Apprenticeships help businesses and employers to develop their own workforce and talent pipeline and mentor employees through on the job instruction. While apprenticeships are common with trade professions and professions that require a license—such as plumbers, electricians and beauticians—the Dept. of Labor's 2015 investment in apprenticeship programs is expanding the fields in which the opportunity is available. As Appteon's Director of Workforce Initiatives, Debby Hopkins supports the U.S. Department of Labor's initiatives to strengthen the nation's talent pipeline by expanding inclusive registered apprenticeship strategies.
In this episode, learn more about how apprenticeships work and the value the provide for employers, employees and the nation.
