Welcome students to your first semester of Fall activities at Spoken Wordplay Podcast Community. This is your head instructor Ms. Tonya Michelle Wilkerson, speaking from the heart with a motivational message. The month of September is set aside for the observance of National Literacy Month that encourages readers to explore at least one book written by Black authors in order to gain a deeper understanding of Black experiences and perspectives. Students, I want you to participate in the celebration of Black Reading Month by challenging yourself in turning off the TV, radio, computer, cellphone and other electronic devices to immerse yourself in reading at school media centers, local librarys, bookstores, and organizations that's hosting lectures, book signings, and reading contests to engage readers and highlight Black voices in literature. Students, I am going to share with you a compilation of Season 3 full podcast episodes called " 2024-25 School Year Affirmations & Meditation_1" to help students build-up their self-confidence in embracing the new school year with a positive mindset and " Reading Techniques Affirmations & Meditation_2" to help students improve their reading comprehension skills.
