He recounts how gang members were bused into his community and describes a tense encounter with GardaWorld, a security company hired by Mayor Brandon Johnson. As he puts it “We’re basically giving our tax dollars to an international security company that doesn’t have our best interests in mind.” Newsome explains how these events are impacting local neighborhoods and the efforts to suppress public awareness.
