This week, Roo and Aimee dive into cults, canned fish, and cucumbers with a special guest: Roo’s cat, Philippe, who has to leave to do his taxes. The episode kicks off with Roo’s Costco salmon mix-up, leading to a deep dive into her love for tinned fish and a plan for a tin fish party, complete with a side of potential mercury poisoning. Meanwhile, Aimee is not on board and insists that cult documentaries are her true obsession. She breaks down the classic cult formula: fresh food, anti-capitalism, and then—inevitably—one guy ruining it all with weird power trips and sex stuff. (Improv, they realize, is their own little cult—minus the sex, plus tinned fish sales.)

Roo also shares her new gardening hobby, starting with garlic and cucumbers, only to discover it’s way more expensive and labor-intensive than she thought. The pair reminisce about growing up with no money, eating sandwich crusts, and Roo sneaking cocoa powder as a forbidden sweet treat.

Sprinkle in some laughs about Philippe’s black toe-beans, feet videos, accepting compliments as women, and their love for Daytona comedy, and you’ve got a perfectly cozy, unhinged episode of Pillow Fort!
