This episode is dedicated entirely to talking about punishment (corrections for those that are too ninny to use the p word). We are very effective at stopping unwanted behaviors, so...how do we do it? I explain in detail what the process looks like and why it doesn't work for so many folks (they are doing it wrong).

This is stuff nobody will tell you! Haha. But I will!!

Tired of being gaslit into thinking there is something wrong with your dog or that you just need to keep being patient? I don't blame you. That's because you will never achieve the desired result of eliminating a behavior if you don't understand these concepts.

As a sidenote, this is NOT how we train dogs to do obedience commands. Punishment is for STOPPING behaviors, not building behaviors. If you are trying to get your dog TO DO something, that is more of a process and involves a lot more guidance. This is how you get your dog NOT to do something. For instance, the window barking, the hole digging, the jumping up, etc.
