This week, we are pleased to bring you a new episode of Spiritual Gems from the Holy Cross Bookstore, this time with Fr. Patrick Viscuso.

Fr. Patrick has published numerous books with us at Holy Cross Press. His book, A Guide for a Church Under Islam, is Fr. Patrick’s original translation. The twelfth-century document has myriad interesting features relevant for Church history, including its record of ancient Christian practices and the internal life of Arabic Christians living in what would become modern Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. The translation, as well as its annotations and introductory history, represents a unique and fascinating time capsule of the Church's history.

Join us in this episode to get to know Fr. Patrick and hear his personal and informed insights on this text and its relevance.

  • You can purchase your copy of Guide for a Church Under Islam, and many other edifying titles here
