Gabriela Salas Cabrera introduces herself in Náhuatl…
“Hello everyone.
I am Gabriela Salas Cabrera. I come from a village in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico.
Right now, I’m in Madrid, Spain, where I’m taking classes in data science, artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
I also create models called ‘enlarged models’, with the goal to create a Chat GPT system in Náhuatl. So, these are my fields of interest.
And it’s a pleasure to be here.”
“What languages do you speak?”
“Well, Náhuatl is my first language.
And so is Spanish.
I also speak English, which is part of my current job, especially when it comes to technology.
I’m currently studying another indigenous language, Ñähñu, using artificial intelligence.
So, it’s my second indigenous language now.
And it’s also known as Otomi."
