In this full episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates, Drew takes you through an in-depth breakdown of the entire 2025 NY Giants Draft Class and shares original scouting reports on each new addition. It was a major draft for Big Blue as they made a huge splash early by selecting EDGE Abdul Carter from Penn State with the 3rd overall pick. Carter, a 6'3", 259-pound force of nature, dominated college football last season, earning unanimous All-American honors, Big Ten Player of the Year, and posting an incredible 91.3 PFF grade. Despite some areas needing development and past off-field concerns, his upside could be game-changing for the Giants' defense.
Later in the first round, the Giants made a bold move by trading back into the top 25 to draft quarterback Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss. Dart brings solid size, mobility, and a strong arm, giving the Giants a developmental quarterback to groom behind veteran Russell Wilson.
In the third round, the Giants focused on the trenches by grabbing defensive tackle Darius Alexander from Toledo, a strong and physical run defender with great potential to be a Day 1 contributor. The fourth-round pick was Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo, a tough, old-school power runner with strong receiving skills, who could become a perfect complement to Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the backfield.
In the fifth round, the Giants added depth to the offensive line with Purdue’s Marcus Mbow, an aggressive blocker with versatility at guard and tackle. Drew also covers the seventh-round selections, starting with Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II, a once highly touted recruit who brings impressive athleticism and major upside if he can stay healthy after overcoming multiple ACL injuries.
The final pick was cornerback Korie Black from Oklahoma State, a speedy and physical defender with a strong special teams background and major upside as a late-round steal. Black’s elite speed and physicality at the catch point could give the Giants another young piece to develop in the secondary.
National draft analysts praised the Giants’ class, with most grading it in the A to B+ range, highlighting the franchise’s aggressive yet smart moves. Abdul Carter has the potential to be a cornerstone defender alongside Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence II, while Jaxson Dart gives the Giants a chance to finally stabilize the quarterback position long-term.
Join Drew as he dives deep into each player’s scouting profile, their potential fits on the roster, and how the Giants have reshaped their future with this exciting 2025 draft class. If you're a die-hard Giants fan looking for the latest giants news, ny giants news today, new york giants news today, and everything you need to know about giants news and rumors, you won’t want to miss this episode!
