UN warns two million Gaza residents face famine

For the past 10 weeks Israel has banned all food, shelter, medicine and other goods from entering the Gaza strip - now UN officials are warning there's a critical risk of famine for the strip’s roughly 2 million people.
It comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has confirmed this week that Israel would carry on with plans to ramp up its offensive in Gaza, but it won’t launch that plan until after US President Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East.
