Host Nanette Wiser and producer Anna Hummel were wowed by our guest Alexis Baum, a renaissance woman who you hear on AB Sees You, the Florida Folk Show on occasion, at Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association events (when she's now working somewhere in the world such as New Zealand and Australia) and a RadioStPete board member. Baum had just wrapped a trip to Disney with her Mom, a strategic marathon with Port St. Lucie, a months-long consult in Australia and more. One of her superpowers? Singing with a band - Soulfood, even a performance at the Sydney Opera House (mezzo soprano). Here is their a cappella rendition of Stevie Wonder’s "I Just Called to Say I Love You (with her St. Pete Easter egg). Says Baum" Actually RSP already plays our Christmas album called "Soulfood Christmas", which is the only studio album I've ever got to record with them (and in my life) … ironic since I’m Jewish!"
**Her latest company? Transformed Learning Collective (TLC, for short) is the brainchild of Alexis Baum, Tim Fife, and Ruben Ocampo. With over five decades of combined experience in individual and organizational learning in 20+ countries, we formed TLC with the mission of Humanizing Leadership & Learning. Alexis, Tim, and Ruben’s journey began in 2008 when their paths first crossed in Sydney, Australia, sparking a shared passion for rethinking how organizations learn and grow. Since then, they’ve worked across industries and continents—helping companies, nonprofits, and governments embrace human-centered learning, leadership, and innovation. From shaping learning strategies across Asia to coaching mayors and city teams worldwide, their work has always been about making leadership more adaptive, inclusive, and impactful. They focus their work on addressing the very human needs of leaders that persist in modern organizations, regardless of size or area of focus: Adaptability, Emotional Intelligence, Purpose and Empathy-Driven Leadership, Critical Thinking, Relationships and Community Building, Mental Health and Well-Being.
LEARN MORE about Alexis Baum and her provocative point of view about life, work and casual connections that matter.
**Baum's Nerd Nite talk on October 29, 2024 about her life's philosophy, and about her my original podcast and business "Times Over Time."
