Managing Stress
Manage episode 489264643 series 3561868
The more aware I am of experiencing stress and suffering, the more I flee to focusing on being present where stress and suffering don't exist. The 2 most common tools I use to be present are focusing on my breathing and monitoring my thoughts. I'm not trying to breath in any specific way, simply to be aware of my breathing and what I experience as I brethe. Similiarly, I'm not trying to have any specific thought, just to be aware of the thoughts that are in my mind and my choice to act on them or not.
As I resolve more and more stress by being increasingly present, the thoughts I adopt that are imbued with peace and well being are often not commonly adopted thoughts. The thought that I am ONE with everyone and everything is not a commonly adopted thought in the world I create, and yet I experience peace and well being when I engage with that thought. AND, the more I embrace thoughts of unity, the more I see those thoughts reflected back to me by the behavior of others/other parts of me.
We create our world with our thoughts. The more conscious we are of our thoughts and our ability to consciously choose which thoughts to act on, the more we create the world we consciously choose to create. I offer thought coaching to help make all of this more practical on all levels. To avail yourself of a free 30 minute coaching session, contact me at [email protected]
