Hello Listeners!

In this episode, we had the opportunity to have a conversation with Eddie Keogh, Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon and Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath from Kingfishr .

Formed at the University of Limerick by frontman Eddie Keogh, bassist Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon and banjo player Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath, Three unassuming young lads from Ireland have stories to tell, and they know how to tell them well. Kingfishr, the folk-rock band rapidly becoming one of the most talked-about and in-demand acts for 2025. It’s through their live performances that Kingfishr have really been making their mark. In under two years, the trio have gone from performing in 200-capacity venues to audiences of 2,000, or – in the case of their latest tour – 12,500, as they supported British singer-songwriter James Bay during his arena run. More recently, they sold out all 12,000 tickets for their outdoor summer shows in Dublin and Limerick, their biggest shows to date, plus 5,000 tickets selling instantly for additional dates in Belfast and Cork.

A smash hit #1 single with the 4 x Platinum ‘Killeagh’, two headline shows at Dublin’s 3Arena, and 100 million+ streams - and yet Irish trio Kingfishr are just getting started. Having achieved all of that already, their ascendency is set to be amplified with the news that they will release their long-awaited debut album ‘Halcyon’ on August 22nd. ‘Halcyon’ album is Kingfishr’s journey so far, from early breakthrough favourites ‘Flowers-Fire’ and ‘Eyes Don’t Lie’ right through to new highlights such as ‘Killeagh’, ‘Gloria’ and ‘Man On The Moon’. But there’s also a wealth of brand new material ripe for discovery with tracks including ‘21’, ‘Next To Me’, ‘Someday’ and ‘Schooldays’ .
