Welcome to the darkest corners of Creep Radio, where today's nightmare takes us to Pueblo, Colorado, for a tale that proves money can't buy sanity—but it can certainly fund madness.
Meet Brad, a man whose profound isolation was matched only by his growing mental instability. When his father's death left him with over a million dollars, Brad didn't attend the funeral—he simply cashed the check and began preparing for something horrifying. Free from financial constraints and completely disconnected from human relationships, Brad's mind turned toward the wind—literally. In his increasingly disturbed state, Brad became convinced that the wind was speaking to him, delivering specific instructions for a grotesque project.
What followed was a methodical transformation of his ordinary life into something monstrous. A specially installed basement freezer. A windowless van modified with prisoner shackles and surveillance cameras. Disguises that allowed him to appear as a harmless elderly man. Brad created the perfect system for abducting vulnerable strangers from bus stops in neighboring towns, murdering them with carbon monoxide, and harvesting their body parts—all meticulously categorized in his basement freezer.
The most terrifying aspect? Brad had successfully murdered at least seven people before chance intervened. A simple flat tire brought a helpful state trooper to his side, and Brad's carefully constructed world began to crumble. His final intended victim, 22-year-old Lori, survived only because of this unlikely mechanical failure. Brad's ultimate goal, revealed in his extensive video diaries, was perhaps the most disturbing element of all—he believed he could construct the perfect girlfriend companion from the collected body parts.
This haunting episode reminds us that monsters don't always look the part—they might be the quiet neighbor with the generous job offer when you're at your most vulnerable. Remember, if a stranger approaches you at a bus stop with an offer that seems too good to be true, there's probably a terrifying reason why.
