The Tampa Bay Rays continued their winning ways with an 14-8 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The offense came out blazing, starting with a leadoff home run from Yandy Díaz. That sparked a four-run first inning, capped by a two-run single from Matt Thaiss. Detroit answered with three runs in the third to cut the lead to 4-3, but the Rays quickly broke the game open. With the bases loaded, Taylor Walls roped a bases-clearing double, then scored on a Kam Misner bunt single to make it 8-3. Tampa Bay kept piling on with a Josh Lowe RBI double, another home run from Díaz, and two more RBI singles from Matt Thaiss. Every player in the Rays’ lineup recorded a hit in the win. They’ll look to take the series tomorrow afternoon.
