It is very rare that a homeless, addict ever recovers, the cumulative trauma too deep and the addiction too strong - like a freight train coming at you 100 miles an hour. Justin Wood, is an anomaly and after a 23 year battle with addiction, living on Hastings Street in Vancouver, Canada, known to be one of the worst streets for homelessness in North America, he found himself in a prison cell. While in his cell, something miraculous happened, something that you only see in the movies. He fully surrendered himself, saying one statement that caused an energy to surge through his entire being, like electricity, from his feet to this head and he heard a quiet whisper “This is peace, this is love”. Since that day he has become a thought leader and teacher of self love and compassion.
