How to effectively pitch clients or students to employers -- #MotivatingMondays Episode 14
Manage episode 491938327 series 3650403
In this episode of #MotivatingMondays, we continue our 6-week series on 'Best Practices in Employer Engagement'. In Week 2, we're discussing how to effectively pitch clients or students to employers, touching on the ABCs of selling. While hard sales would lead you to believe the ABCs are 'Always Be Closing' (high-pressure, sign on the dotted line), new research would suggest success in sales (and job development for that matter) is ABC: Attunement (getting to really know local employers and their needs); Buoyancy (staying positive and helping your clients stay positive); and Clarity (the capacity to make sense of murky situations, to curate information rather than merely access it, and to move from solving existing problems to finding hidden ones). We'll share strategies for taking the new ABCs and creating lasting employment outcomes.
#MotivingMondays, is a weekly YouTube series dedicated to help Canadian job developers and other employer engagement professionals develop the tools, resources, expertise and network needed to excel in achieving sustainable employment outcomes for their clients and students.
