Meren Energy Inc. Investor Relations Manager Shahin Amini talked with Proactive about the companyâs recent consolidation and future plans. Amini explained that through the Prime consolidation, Meren Energy has doubled its reserves and production from high-quality offshore Nigerian assets operated by Chevron and TotalEnergies. He said, âWe have a very robust, self-funded and cash-generating business in Deepwater Nigeria.â The company has increased its annual dividend distribution significantly, moving from $23.00 million to $100.00 million, supported by high netback production, low lifting costs, and a favourable fiscal regime in Nigeria. Amini emphasised that Meren Energy expects to generate around $350.00 million in cash flow for 2025 against a capital investment program of about $170 million, allowing substantial free cash flow for shareholder returns and balance sheet management. Outside Nigeria, the company holds interests in development and exploration assets in Namibia, South Africa, and Equatorial Guinea. Amini noted the Orange Basin as a key area, highlighting Meren Energyâs stake in the Venus project, which could reach final investment decision by the first half of 2026. Looking ahead, he stated that Meren Energy will remain disciplined in pursuing new acquisitions, only considering opportunities that are accretive to cash flows and net asset value per share.
