In September 1978, Caroline Spencer, a 32-year-old nurse, was hired to care for Emily Harper, a 26-year-old woman bedridden with a mysterious illness at Greythorne Hall, a secluded manor owned by the wealthy Harper family. Initially, Emily’s symptoms seemed medical, but disturbing signs emerged: guttural chuckles in a male voice, speaking in unknown languages, and unnatural strength. Caroline witnessed Emily muttering in Latin, scratching occult symbols on her arms, and reacting violently to religious objects. The manor itself grew eerie, with unexplained footsteps, moving objects, and a pervasive sense of being watched.
