Star Entertainment, which operates casinos in Sydney, the Gold Coast, and Brisbane, has secured a deal with Hong Kong-based partners to service piles of debt and alleviate critical cash flow issues.

But it will have to walk away from its landmark Queen's Wharf development on the Brisbane River, a gleaming new $2.6 billion hotel and casino backed by government as a jewel in the city's tourism crown.
