Each of the stories we are living have two essential components – the present incarnation of that story and the future imagined ideal of our desired version of that same story. Our life experience consists of flowing from the present to the imagined ideal. In today’s show we cover in greater detail the importance of having clearly defined and densely imagined stories that we want to experience. We create distinctions in the quality of Flow and how we can diagnose poor flow and what we can do to remedy it. As part of this discussion, we delve into the detail of our Lead Character (the “Me”) and the four areas of our character that play an essential role in the quality of our flow. We also discuss our Story Setting, or the contents of our surroundings (the “Not Me”), and bring some new distinctions and definitions to this “external environment” that we can also manage to produce better flow. Why do we want good flow? Because we are always in a flow state. As we flow into the realization of desired experience in the form of imagined stories, we continue to cast new and revised stories further out in front of ourselves to flow into. Flow is our moment by moment experience and we want it to be as satisfying as possible.
