This is the historic debut of my podcast, Brad’s A-Games.
These are my personal stories of the Olympics; the kind of memories that are inspiring, or entertaining, that give me chills, sometimes. You’ll hear from athletes I spoke to when I was a reporter for CBC, and some of my own quirky Olympic tales. This first episode is kind of like that — it involves a music festival, beer gardens and one of the most exciting gold medal races ever seen.
This is the first in a series of short podcasts I’m doing in support of my own epic adventure in endurance sports — and fundraising — The 1,001 Km Cycling Challenge. In June I’ll be riding my bike with about 30 of my soon-to-be best buddies from Lake Louise to Whistler over eight days. The epic ride is a fundraiser for the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
