Moosaa Richardson presents this detailed Hadeeth study of the narration of 'Alee ibn 'Abee Taalib (may Allah be pleased with him): "Love your beloved with moderation; perhaps he will become someone you hate one day. Hate the one you hate with moderation; perhaps he will become beloved to you one day."

The following main issues are addressed:
  • Is the narration authentic?
  • Is it authentic as a statement of the Prophet (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace), or is it mowqoof, only the statement of a companion?
  • What principles are needed to understand the topic of the narration?
  • What did Shaykh al-Albaanee say about the meaning of the narration?
  • What did Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen say about the meaning of the narration?
  • How should we be applying this today?

Recorded at al-Masjid al-Awwal in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA) on 1446.10.15.
