Neil Haley, the Total Tutor host of the Simply G Radio Show, interviewed Vi 5 Star Ambassador and Millioniare GJ Reynolds, to find out how to build 'together trust'. Reynolds is an original founding member in the company ViSalus and is now a 5 Star Ambassador, Vi Millionaire, and CEO of Simply G Media. He has written the book titled "The Playful and Powerful Warrior Within You!" and holds the distinction of completing the Dale Brown Challenge by working out for over 1000 days straight and being on the Project 10 Challenge too. He is also ranked in the top ten percent of people in social media. GJ Reynolds explained there are five essential steps to building trust with others. GJ described the first step, āYou have to be competent in what you are doing. I find and hire someone else in areas where I am unable to be great or in being the most competent. When there is competency, trust will begin to grow." GJ talked about the second step to build trust: āAs we have shared many times on our Simply G radio shows, consistency is key. Consistency is required for success in building a business, going to school, working successfully with someone else, or in having any successful relationship. When one fails to be consistent, there will eventually be struggles. The other key factor in building 'together trust', is being accountable. When your teammates say 'I can always count on you.' This is a great way to build trust in any relationship. Be competent and do what you say you are going to do. Essentially walk the walk.ā Step three in building trust: it is suggested to place others at the top of your agenda. GJ said, āTheir win must bigger than my win to build the strongest trusting relationship. If my win is bigger than their win, it will lead to a shorter relationship with less trust and solidarity.ā Reynolds also talked about step four in the five-step process to building trust. GJ described this by saying. āWhen you give credit to others, it builds good chemistry amongst the team. Coach John Wooden was very good at giving credit to other people. I met Coach Wooden several times and he was excellent in placing the light on someone else. He was also a good friend and mentor with my coach, mentor and friend, Coach Dale Brown. Dale lives by this action as well and he is always shinning the light away from himself and onto others." The last step GJ talked about is focusing on doing the right things when things go wrong. āThings will go wrong and things are always going to change. You have to be willing to adapt. I also suggest being clear about your mission and vision. It makes it a lot easier to achieve your goals, objectives and to move with the ups and downs. Especially when things go wrong and are a challenge. In the US Army I learned mission first. To be clear about what is the mission and be clear about how to achieve the mission. I have had to make some tough decisions and be adaptable in my twenty plus years as an entrepreneur. Change and being adaptable are essential. Being clear with your team and making sure all parties understand is also essential.ā You can listen to the radio show by going to http://simplyg.com/media/simplyg-radio/ā¦
Neil Haley, the Total Tutor host of the Simply G Radio Show, interviewed Vimillionaire GJ Reynolds to find out about the importance of capacity to grow a business. Reynolds is an original founding member in the company ViSalus and is now a 5 Star Ambassador, Vi Millionaire, and CEO of Simply G Media. He has written a book titled "The Playful and Powerful Warrior Within You!" and holds the distinction of completing the Dale Brown Challenge by working out for over 1000 days straight. He is also ranked in the top ten percent of people in social media. GJ mentioned eight ways to improve ones capacity to grow. The first way is to grow your capacity is with emotional capacity. GJ said, "Two things that will determine your capacity to grow, intentionality and hunger. What is your intention and how hungry are you āWhat determines how good of a leader I will become? My capacity to grow will become my capacity to lead. A s we have learned over the last few years, consistency is key. The great leaders are always being consistent on a daily basis and are open to increasing their overall capacity to grow. When you are able to determine a personās capacity in the beginning the better off that person is able to lead long term.ā The next type of capacity GJ described was mental capacity. ā One of the things we have talked about is being physically strong. When you are physically strong, you have the capacity to much more mentally strong. The more you learn and apply the knowledge learned, the more one is able to improve their capacity to grow.ā The third type capacity GJ discussed was relational capacity. āIts all about people. An open and honest relationship. Trust is the catalyst. My business is a people business and creating strong relations is critical. Relationships must be based on capacity qualification.ā The fourth type of capacity GJ discussed is physical capacity. GJ shared, "As I have shared the more physically fit I am, the more I am able to increase the capacity in my life, in all areas.ā The fifth type of capacity GJ described is leadership capacity. āWhen a leader fails to lead and expects others to do it. They will never have the impact they may be able to have. A leader is able to have credibility by walking their talk. Your talk talks and your walk talks, and your walk talks louder than your talk talks. Are you walking the walk? When a leader does this, they have great influence." The sixth type of capacity is the capacity of teamwork. Neil Haley pointed out, "The definition of leadership capacity means reciprocal, purposeful learning together in community. Reciprocity is essential to solving problems and working collaboratively." Reynolds also shared, "Leadership ability is the lid that determines a personās level of effectiveness. Your leadership ability always determines your effectiveness and the potential impact of your organization. The capacity to grow is essential." Equipping capacity was the seventh capacity discussed. GJ said, āIt Is the catalyst for a team to be successful. Fully equipping a team or organization allows the team to be more effective. When this is completed thoroughly, an organization has more sustainability and success." The last type of capacity discussed was creative capacity. GJ described why he enjoys growing in this, āI personally enjoy the creative process and I thrive in understanding what works with social media and business today. Business is always changing. Thinking outside the box and being creative is key in today's business climate and I enjoy elevating my capacity in this area.ā You are able to listen to the radio show by going to http://simplyg.com/media/simplyg-radio/.ā¦
Neil Haley, The Total Tutor host of the Total Celebrity Show, and writer Blake Robinson interviewed Quinton Aaron to find out about his career and charity work. Quinton Aaron, best-known for his portrayal of Michael Oher, "Big Mike" in the blockbuster movie, The Blind Side, now dedicates himself to sharing his experiences, finding meaningful solutions, and helping children who find themselves victims of bullying and childhood obesity. Quinton's approach, openly and honestly dealing with these issues, has already proven tremendously successful. Aaron and his foundation started delivering his anti-bullying message in October of 2012 and since then, he and his team have visited countless schools, churches, and anti-bullying programs around the country. In 2015, The Quinton Aaron Foundation intends to bring its message to the entire world in the form of the first ever, "Anti-Bullying World Summit." For more on The Quinton Aaron Foundation visit http://www.QuintonAaron.org. Quinton described why he wanted to work security for the Blind Side. āWell, when I went into the meeting with the director, I had experience working on TV sets and movie sets doing security. Growing up, I was not used to good things happening to me. I did not see myself getting this part. If I am on the set, I can meet people and network. I got business cards and go on the set to protect people. I never thought I would get the part." Quinton had some difficult times leading up to the call. The months leading up to the call were some harder months of my life. I lost my mom four months before. Her social security got cut off. I did not have income to pay rent. The little I made from security was used to feed us. The security job had slow times. We lost water and lights. I would have to walk three miles for food from my Aunts. I would go to mom's house to shower. I would have probably ended up in jail if I didn't have a little brother.ā Quinton added, "The call came and everything changed. The struggles were the same as what Michael went through in the Blind Side. This is what the director wanted me to do." Michael remains grounded, even though he has had success. Michael shared why he started his foundation. āWell a couple years ago I met David Todd, the Executive Director of the foundation. He asked me if I had my one foundation. I thought that was cool. He asked me what would the foundation be about. Bullying. I was bullied as a child. It is not fun when it happens. Quinton travels around the country talking to kids at schools."
