Tune in as Pride Month comes to a close on 2CC! It’s been splendid to have this space be dedicated to queer art throughout this past June of 2025. Now we shall wrap that up by bringing back Connor Kujawinski (@connorkuj) for a breakdown of Psycho Beach Party, the 2000 comedy-horror beach movie spoof that follows a whirlwind of surfing, dissociative identity disorder, murder, and other shenanigans over in 1962-set Malibu. Connor’s experience with drive-in theaters, clocking his rating for Split, reading Psycho Beach Party through a disability lens, and the polarized responses that its ending elicits from the hosts stand out as a few of the topics for this episode.

Directed by Robert Lee King, Psycho Beach Party stars Lauren Ambrose, Thomas Gibson, Nicholas Brendon, Danni Wheeler, Kimberley Davies, Matt Keeslar, Charles Busch, Beth Broderick, Amy Adams, Kathleen Robertson, Nick Cornish, Andrew Levitas, Channon Roe, Jenica Bergere, Nathan Bexton, Buddy Quaid, and Nicholas D’Agosto.

Spoilers start at 31:40
