39. New York's Walking Wounded
Manage episode 470972704 series 3584956
The Knicks, Mets, and Yankees each are facing significant injuries to their respective squads, which has becoming a recurring theme in New York.
Jalen Brunson is out with a sprained ankle. Gerrit Cole will miss the year for the Yankees thanks to Tommy John surgery. He joins some key players already on the IL in The Bronx. Francisco Alvarez will miss the next 6-to-8 weeks for the Mets as he had surgery on his left hand to repair a broken bone. The 2 Dummies discuss all this to start the show.
For our halftime topic, the Dummies decide to play a game with baseball cards.
On the other side of the break, we spend a good amount of time discussing the NFL free agent frenzy as the Giants and Jets both make key signings. We end things with a bit about St. John's men's basketball.
And to top it off, we have some controversial takes for our Mt. Rushmore of overrated movies.
Please enjoy!
