One of the ways we best learn how to pray is to read the prayers in Scripture. Another valuable way to grow in our desire to pray and how to do it is from reading the prayers of faith heroes from the past. This episode of 2Days Denarius podcast is devotionally-focused on the value of short prayers. There are four prayers from select early church fathers that are presented and discussed based on the ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) prayer model. It's a wonderful devotional experience that all of us will benefit from in enhancing our prayers and spiritual growth. These prayers are found in Robert Elmer's valuable book as noted in the bibliography below.

Elmer, Robert, ed. Fount of Heaven: Prayers of the Early Church. Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2022.

Song "Holy Is the Lord" is used by permission of songwriter/performing artist, Pastor Steve Hereford, of the Changed By Grace Church in Jacksonville, FL. His inspirational Scripture songs may be found on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, along with many other webstream apps and providers.
