After either releasing or losing over 15 players in free agency, 49ers general manager John Lynch addressed media from Stanford's Pro Day on Wednesday to reiterate San Francisco has an offseason "plan" in motion. Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan dissect what the 49ers' actual strategy is, from purging overpriced, underperforming veterans to loading up on affordable, younger talent in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 49ers' 11 draft picks are tied for the most, and they'll need to hit on a majority of them to replenish the roster depth they lost.
