[Take 2 đ¤Śââď¸] 195. The Body Keeps the Score: How to Care for Your Body When Stress Takes Over
Manage episode 493712589 series 3001649
Ever feel the stress in your body? Welcome to the club! ;) A club Iâd rather not be in, but I am here, so here we are. ;)
This by no means is an exhaustive list of ways to help, but I thought I would bring this subject around again on the show because so many of us are feeling the stress of life in our bodies. And I don't want to be a âvictimâ of that stress and have been on a journey to really learn how to care for myself in this. Itâs been quite the process, but soo worth it!
I mention "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel van der Kolk, a phenomenal book that triggered me the whole way through. But it taught me so much about why my body was feeling it and âkeeping score.â
I hope this episode blesses you.
Key Topics Covered:Understanding Body-Stress Connection
- How stress manifests physically in the body
- Personal examples of stress patterns (shoulder tension, hip pain)
