Today, we're going to be celebrating the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris by learning all about the Olympics and Olympic-themed video games. We'll first touch on the history of the Olympic Games itself, looking at its humble beginnings as a Greek religious festival. We'll then learn how it evolved into an international athletic competition. After that, we'll learn all about the history of Olympic-themed video games, starting with the release of Olympic Decathlon in 1980 leading all the way into the current Olympics.
