The agenda of the Democratic Party is virtually indistinguishable from that of the mainstream media, so it should come as no surprise that as support for the Democratic Party declines, so does trust in the media. Gallup has been tracking Americans’ trust in the media for over 50 years, and in a recent poll, only 33% of Americans reported having a great deal or a fair amount of trust and confidence in mass media. This is a sharp drop from the high of 72% in 1976 and now mirrors the Democratic Party’s lowest approval rating in decades—also 33%. Why have both the Democratic Party and the media become so historically unpopular, and are Americans justified in their lack of trust? Join the conversation and get answers to these questions and more on According2Sam episode #307.
