Greetings Adult Child,
On this episode, I sat down with returning guest and therapist Phyllis Leavitt who is the author of America In Therapy where we talked about when unhealed childhood trauma can get the best of us and even create toxic relationships.
We spoke about the potential danger when untreated wounds create a sense of entitlement and misuse of power when unhealthy family dynamics are not examined which can cause havoc, war and loss of lives globally.
Phyllis spoke about her childhood sexual trauma and how she was able to use her insights and strength to create her own therapeutic practice and share powerful tools to support others to become more resilient when faced with fear and overwhelm.
We spoke about what we can do individually and collectively to heal trauma and learn to be kinder and more compassionate with each other.
