Dominic and Francine will give insight into Akron's arts & culture sector through their lens of using inclusion, connection, and excellence to build new organizations, projects, and performances across Akron and beyond. In addition to prepared talks, Dominic and Francine will perform a new collaboration for Akron Roundtable called "Dear, Funders".

Speakers:

Dominic Moore-Dunson is an award-winning dancer & choreographer, a creative entrepreneur, and a local arts leader in Akron, OH. In 2016, Dominic has established a large-scale community-based dance theatre project called Artie & The Black Card (formerly The Black Card Project) which premiered in Sept 2018.

Francine Parr is a 25-year old Akron native. She started performing at the age of 4. Her first notable role was the Hershey Kiss in The Nutcracker with the Ballet Theatre of Ohio in 2001. Francine attended Miller South and graduated from Firestone High School‘s VPA program on the theatre track. While attending university, studying musical theatre Parr found that there was a huge missing piece of what she fell in love with theatre for, which was community.
