Justin Moore is the Founder & CEO of Trending Family, an influencer marketing agency that specializes in connecting brands with family-friendly creators. Justin is a serial entrepreneur who started his career in medical device sales before encouraging his wife April to launch a YouTube channel and later joining her in the business full time.

In this episode, Justin and I discuss how the global coronavirus pandemic has affected the influencer marketing industry, from brands needing to rapidly pivot their creative strategies to creators receiving higher views but lower CPMs and fill rates. We each share recent examples of creative campaigns and advertisers that have increased their marketing activity amidst the crisis. Justin also highlights the recent trend of “doom surfing” and encourages influencers to listen to their audience in order to create informative or entertaining content to suit their viewers. Finally, we examine the long-term ramifications of COVID-19 and predict that this will accelerate cord cutting and the move of traditional ad dollars to digital platforms.

Host: James Creech
