You ever had someone’s words cling to you for years — until you started saying it to yourself?
This week, I revisit a moment I thought I’d buried:
Me. Frozen. 11 years old.
Hearing the words that would echo for decades: “You’re useless.”

This episode is for anyone who’s carried childhood wounds into adulthood. If you’ve ever battled the voice in your head — the one that sounds suspiciously like someone from your past — this one's for you.

Welcome to Reflections & Realizations — a podcast where we blend faith, psychology, and personal healing to realign how we think, feel, and live.

🛠️ Realignment Tool #3: The Inner Child Compass
A 3-step guide to healing your inner child and breaking free from inherited beliefs that don’t serve you.

✨ Acknowledge

Tune in to that inner voice. Ask:
Is this how I truly feel — or is this an echo of the past?
Awareness is the first act of freedom.

✨ Reframe

Speak truth over the lies.
When your mind says: “I’m so stupid,” say:
“I’m intelligent. I wrote a 2000-word essay and submitted it on time.”
When you hear “You’re useless,” answer back:
“No. I have worth. I was created with purpose by the One who makes no mistakes.”

✨ Heal

End your day with affirmations rooted in Allah’s Names:
Al-Jameel (The Beautiful): He made you beautiful inside and out
Al-Aleem (The All-Knowing): He gave you insight and understanding
Al-Khaliq (The Creator): He fashioned you in the best of forms

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened. It means reclaiming the story you tell yourself — one rooted in truth, kindness, and divine purpose.

🎙️ This podcast supports anyone working through childhood wounds, self-worth issues, and negative self-talk, using tools grounded in faith and psychological insight.
