Have you been accepting the premise that success is only about meeting expectations, validation and obligations? If you want a career in different areas, listen to this episode to learn what's really behind success: motivation.

  1. There are two types of motivation. Intrinsic motivation is all about the love of doing something while extrinsic is about earning a reward or avoiding a punishment.
  2. Our culture is set up on an extrinsic system, trapping many people into a life where they are disconnected from their passions because they are too afraid of what they can lose if they don;t do what's expected.
  3. We need both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to be successful on our own terms.
  4. Learning your dominant motivation style and how to bring in your less dominant one when needed let's you live a balance life.
