Der Philosoph und Soziologe gehört zur späten Frankfurter Schule gemeinsam mit Jürgen Habermas. Er vertritt kritische Thesen gegenüber der permanenten Rationalisierung von Arbeit, dem Diktum neoliberaler Profitmaximierung und dem börsengetriebenen Finanzkapitalismus. Dagegen fordert er ein "bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen". Das Gespräch wurde 2008 aufgezeichnet.

Stefan Fuchs (audio archiv - Science journalist) in conversation with Claus Offe. Claus Offe, born in 1940, is regarded as an outstanding representative of the undogmatic left. The philosopher and sociologist belongs to the late Frankfurt School together with Jürgen Habermas. He is critical of the permanent rationalisation of work, the dictum of neoliberal profit maximisation and stock market-driven financial capitalism. In contrast, he calls for an ‘unconditional basic income’. The interview was recorded in 2008.
