Today, we have an exclusive interview with Australian actor Kick Gurry, right here in our Melbourne studio.

Kick has built an impressive career in both Australian and international film and TV, known for his versatility and charismatic screen presence.

His breakout role as Jacob Coote in Looking for Alibrandi (2000) brought him critical acclaim, and since then, he's starred in an array of genres, from rom-coms to action films like Garage Days, Spartan alongside Val Kilmer, Speed Racer (2008), Jupiter Ascending (2015), and the blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow (2014) with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.

Kick's career continued to flourish as he took on roles in popular American series like Friends from College, 10 Days in the Valley, and Sense 8.

In 2022, he returned to Australia to film Barrons, a show about the origins of the iconic Billabong and Quiksilver surf brands. And just last year, in 2023, he made his debut as a writer, creator, and director with Caught, a hostage comedy series on Stan, which had some challenges with its launch timing.

We are thrilled to have Kick here with us today to talk about his journey and what’s next.

Welcome, Kick!
