Lee Matthew Goldberg is the critically acclaimed author of 16 novels, numerous short stories, and screenplays. He's the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Fringe Press and he was able to drop by Authors on the Air to talk about one of his recent projects, Miles in Time. Miles in Time is a Young Adult mystery, but don't let that label scare you off. There's a great complex story here where fourteen year old Miles must solve the death of his older super-intelligent brother. The death is written off as suicide, but Miles knows his brother couldn't have killed himself. Miles is an awkward high school kid who doesn't fit in and spends most of his time as a junior private investigator, finding missing pets, or lost objects--until his brother's death. Miles discovers his brother had been working on a time travel device and might be able to use it to warn his brother of the dangers ahead. Shadowy corporations have other plans. Listen to Lee talk about where Miles came from, why he chose to write something other than his page turning thrillers, and find out about his new venture, Fringe Press.
