Combining breastmilk and formula AKA mixed feeding AKA combo-feeding is a very common way to feed a baby, yet it not often talked about as a way to feed babies.
When I needed to add formula into my breastfeeding routine, I felt completely alone. There were many breastfeeding instagram accounts and one formula-only instagram account. I wanted to learn as much as I could about combining both and teach parents so they felt less alone if their baby needed or they desired to use formula.
In this episode,
- I teach about what combo-feeding is,
- I speak about the pros and cons of combo-feeding and
- I talk about how combo-feeding played a part in both of my baby’s life
Combo-feeding, when done correctly, can help prolong a breastfeeding journey and may help decrease anxiety. It may require some guidance. If you’re looking for help on your combo-feeding journey, check out:
