The angels asked Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and others, “why do you seek the living among the dead?” I see that question and see that we are not that far removed. We too have the propensity to look for life in tombs. We think more money can fix our problems. We think more stuff can fill the void in our soul. Perhaps it is a title, living in the right zip code, or getting your kid in the right school. Whatever the social indicator of success, if Christ is not in the center, we are merely hanging out in the tombs.
