A dog was released on him, latched onto his leg β and in the chaos, a police officer unloaded an entire clip in the dark, accidentally shooting his own K-9. Instead of admitting their mistake, they blamed Eddie. Even though he never had a gun.
Eddie went on the run for a day and a half through the forest, before collapsing in exhaustion β only to be discovered and shot five more times by police. He survived. And during the trial, it was revealed: the bullet that killed the dog came from the officerβs own weapon.
Yet the damage was done.
