Basil Barrington and DJ Keo are back. We just watched the 1987 anime film Wicked City on Amazon, and while it’s a great example of classic horror anime with incredible visuals, you really need to pack your sensibilities for this one. The story is gripping and the animation style is top-notch, but the film’s depiction of women is problematic, leaving us conflicted. Join us as we discuss what we loved about Wicked City, what held it back, and why it’s still worth a watch for mature audiences.
