Well, a special occasion! The feast day of two saints bumps aside the Sunday liturgy in Ordinary Time. We shouldn't be surprised because these two saints are both extraordinary and immensely significant for the Church.
We know a deal about them in terms of their accomplishments and their endeavours. Also we know their words and their mind from the pages of the New Testament. But let us not forget that it is their love for Jesus and their holiness that brings us to celebrate their feast day.
May these great saints and apostles, Peter and Paul, pray for us.
And a shout out to all those who bear their names (like me...). Have a happy feast day and rejoice!
