She received her medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) in 1991. She completed a research fellowship, followed by residency in radiation oncology at the UCSF. Dr. Haas-Kogan spent 18 years as a radiation oncologist, researcher, and academic leader in the UCSF HDFCCC system before becoming chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital in 2015.
